Audie (Girtman) Bacon, 100, of Cave City, Ark., died Dec. 13, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Oct. 18, 1907, at Cave City, Ark., the daughter of William P. and Amanda Jane (Mobley) Girtman.
She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City, Ark.
Survivors include: three sons, James Bacon of Little Rock, Billy Wayne Bacon of Cave City and Dale Bacon of Bryant; one daughter, Sue Norman of Strawberry; seven grandchildren, Michael Bacon, Patricia Cotten, Tommy Bacon, Lisa Davis Jonathan Bacon, Bob Norman and Robin Qualls; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Robert "Sam"?Bacon; an infant son, Paul L. Bacon; two brothers, McKinnley Girtman and Orville Girtman; five sisters, Vallie Wooldridge, Lizzie Simmons, Zana Johnson, Celia Lewis and Floy Carpenter.
Funeral services were held Dec. 17 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Michael Bacon, Tommy Bacon, Jonathan Bacon, Matthew Bacon, Elliott Cotten, Bob Norman and Stuart Bacon.
