Ruth Sutherland, 87, of Camp, Ark., daughter of the late Sid Faulconer of Margie Hyslip Faulconer was born Nov. 4, 1920, in Wagoner, Okla., and died Dec. 11, 2007, at Southfork River Therapy and Rehab in Salem, Ark.
She was united in marriage to Carl F. Sutherland on Aug. 7, 1938, in Hardy, Ark. To this union, seven children were born.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Camp Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her children; Anna Beth LaRue and husband Larry of Camp, Ark. John Sutherland and wife Tommie of Brandsville, Mo., Jack Sutherland and wife Shirley of Lebanon, Mo., Carol Farlow and husband Jim of Independence, Kan., Tommy?Joe Sutherland of Fayetteville, Mary Smith and husband, Jerry of Camp and Carla Sutherland of Camp; sisters, Margaret Davis of Hardy, and Imogene Abbott of Hot Springs; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, a grandson Mark LaRue; a brother, Dick Faulconer; and her father and mother.
Funeral services were held Dec. 14 at Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem, Ark., with burial following in the Camp Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
