Arthur Lawrence "Larry" Parsons, 74, of Hornlake, Miss., formerly of Alton, Mo., died April 6, 2008 at his home.
He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
He was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, a life member of DAR and the VFW.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Wilma Parsons of Hornlake; a daughter, Pamela Lunyou and husband, Allan of Olive Branch; a son, Gregory L. Parsons and wife, Rachel of Anchorage; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Lunyou of Olive Branch, Jami Parsons of Anchorage; one grandson, Gregory L. Parsons Jr. of Anchorage, and one step-grandson, Josh Parsons of Anchorage.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Arthur C. Parsons and Virgie Huddleston Parsons of Alton, Mo.
Funeral services were held April 8 at the Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway. Burial followed in the Memory Hill Gardens with arrangements under the direction of the Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway, Tennessee.
