MAMMOTH SPRING -- Mammoth Spring VFW Post 7831 and Ladies Auxiliary presented a patriotic program at the school Sept. 28. Auxiliary President Dorothy Parks presented the program giving information and history about the flag.

VFW members participating were; Don Smith, Jack Parks, Wayne Haney, Roger Haney and Willis Pendarvis. Auxiliary members at the program were Mary McNeese, Sue Vanderpool, Marlene Haney and Rita Turner.

"Our organization is the oldest and largest overseas organization in the world. We receive our inspiration through community service," Parks said.

After leading the students in the Pledge of Alligence, Parks gave a step-by-step meaning of the pledge.
