Alfred Emmit Crumley, 90, of Cave City, died July 5, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born July 7, 1914, near Mobley, Ark., to Charles Emmit and Naomi Mobley Crumley.
He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department, served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Zelma M. Marlin Crumley of the home; one son, Danny Crumley of Cave City; two daughters, Donna Bassham of West Plains, Mo., and Caroline Crumley of Little Rock; one brother, Leonard Crumley of Magness; one sister, Rosalee Thomas of Desha, four grandchildren -- Melissa Friend and Diana Bassham both of West Plains, Mo.; Michael Crumley of Cave City and Gwendolyn Wissel of Nashville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Clyde Crumley, Ralph Crumley and Noble Crumley.
The funeral service was July 8 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery located southwest of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Michael Crumley, Ram Wissel, Josh Friend, Ricky Ring, Scott Marlin and Larry Wilson.
