Frank Gaborik, 78, was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Fairgrove, Mich., and was the son of the late Martin and Magdelina Gaborik. He died July 6, 2005, in his home in Thayer, Mo.
He served in the United States Army as a medical corpsman and technician during World War II.
He was a life member of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was also a member of the Fraternal Organization Elks of the USA.
Survivors include his wife, Nel Marie; two step-daughters -- Rebecca Fry and Elizabeth Dowling; one son and two daughters; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters -- Eva Goodrich and Katherine Hamilton; and one brother, Gabe Gaborik, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and one grandchild.
Frank was a communityminded individual who donated his body to assist medical research.
A memorial service is not planned at this time.
