Lloyd Calvin Jackson, son of the late Jesse Elisha Jackson and Stella Mae Moore Jackson, was born Feb. 2, 1936 in Ballard, Ark.
He died June 15, 2006, in Mountain Home, at the age of 70.
Jackson worked as a heavy equipment operator, welder, mechanic and farmer.
He was united in marriage to Darlene Hackney on Aug. 19, 1958, in Hardy, Ark.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Myron Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Darlene Jackson of the home; two sons, Calvin Wayne Jackson of Springfield, and Gary Lynn Jackson of Pearland, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Cheryl and Russell Blevins of Violet Hill, Kathy Ann and Darrell Burch of Salem, and Carolyn Jo and Larry Rhynes of Ash Flat; two sisters, Lula Mae Sherrill of Myron and Faye Moser of Melbourne; one brother, Robert Lee Jackson of Horseshoe Bend; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service was held June 19 at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Bobby Cannon and Bobby Johnson officiating.
Burial followed at the Bates Cemetery with arrangements being made under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Pallbearers included Jeremy Jackson, Mike McSpadden, Tony Burch, C.J. Aden, Steve Lewis and Jeff Holt.
Honorary pallbearers included Roy Hendrix, Ted Watson, Ray Plumlee, James McQuay and Edward Bates.
