A hot night of hot action followed a hot day at West Plains Motor Speedway June 10 at the TCI Automotive sponsored weekly program. Scott Miller of Ashland, Miss., representing TCI Automotive, joined the action by providing TCI gift bags for all the winners and a number of special guests from the grandstands.
Winning the IMCA Modified feature was Bill Adams of West Plains, who took the honors, trophy and top money this week. Coming in second was Matt Barry, followed by Don Marsh, both of West Plains, Ben Ledgerwood of Birch Tree, Chris Piper, Danny Peterson and Denny Dennison, all of West Plains, Anthony Carnal of Cabool, Kevin Collins of West Plains and Carmon Vincent of Moody.
Winner of the Super Stock feature this week was Stan Ellison of West Plains, with Bill Dixon of Thayer running a close second, followed by Terry Green of Springfield.
Hobby Stock feature winner this week was Chuck Russell of West Plains, followed by Bobby Bryant of West Plains, Rick Cooper of Thornfield, Mo., Dave Wallace of Thornfield and Marty Toten of Pomona.
Bobby Skinner of Moody won the Cruiser Feature this week and left dad, Chris Skinner, in third place after they had swapped winner and second spots for several weeks. Taking second was John Stiner of West Plains. Coming in fourth was Bill Harden of West Plains, followed by Philip Chainey of Springfield.
Tyler Chainey of Springfield took the winner's trophy this week by leading the field of Youth Hobby Stockers to the checkered flag. Taking second was Rowdy Trivitt of Williford, followed by Ben Piper of West Plains, Stephen Radford of Flippin and Ricky Cross of St. James, Mo.
