Criss, Heck to wed

Rev. and Mrs. Douglas Criss of DeWitt announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth, to Michael Vincent Heck, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Heck of Greenwood.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Criss of Trumann and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Brown of Harrisburg. She is 2001 graduate of Salem High School and a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a degree in business economics. She is presently attending law school at the University of Arkansas and is working for the deputy prosecuting attorney of Washington County as a law clerk and Farming United Methodist Church as youth director.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heck of Van Buren and John Bates Jr. of Warren, Mich., and the late Margeret Bates. He is a 2000 graduate of Fort Smith Southside High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in civil engineering. He is employed by CEI Engineering Firm in Bentonville.

The couple will exchange vows at 7 p.m. July 22 at DeWitt First United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Criss, the bride's father, officiating. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
