Harold Dean Rogers, 65, of Evening Shade died April 20, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1940, at Cave City the son of Herbert Conley and Ruby Audrey Boles Rogers. He was the owner of The Rogers Shop at Evening Shade and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Syble (Weaver) Rogers, of the home; four sons, Jim Rogers, Marty Rogers and Russell Rogers all of Evening Shade and Eddie Rogers of Sidney; three daughters, Gina Miller, Cindy Rogers and Kelly Morris all of Evening Shade; one brother, Billy Joe Rogers, of Conway, three sisters, Audrey Hatfield, Mary Lou Wren and Pearl Davis all of Cave City; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Darrell Rogers.
The funeral services were held April 22 at Maxville Baptist Church located north of Cave City with Bro. J.L. Weaver and Bro. Kendall Weaver officiating. Burial followed in the Maxville Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Eddie Rogers, Marty Rogers, Jim Rogers, Russell Rogers, Steve Miller and Tracy Morris.
Honorary pallbearers were John C. Smith, Jody Warren, Robert Rogers, Ben Rogers, Eric Rogers and Aaron Rogers.
