Lloyd "Bud" Hunt, 80, of Ash Flat, Ark., died March 9, 2007, in Missouri. He was born on Oct. 5, 1926, the son of Claud Hunt and Mary Hager Hunt.

He was united in marriage to Lucille Hoffman Hunt on Valentine's Day of 1987. He accomplished many things in his life. He served two years in the Korean War. He retired from Missouri Broiler Tank Company in St. Louis, Mo. He also worked several years for Wal-Mart in Ash Flat. He was a member of the Pioneer Freewill Baptist Church and the VFW in Arcadia, Mo. He loved gospel music and for many years sang with different groups all over the country and made several records. He had a favorite saying, "When old Bud stops singing, you can ask where the funeral will be."

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Hunt, of the home; one sister, Maxine Launius, of Moorehouse, Mo.; one brother, Larry Hunt, of Illinois; three sons, Richard Hunt of St. Louis, Mo., Tracey Leach of Maryland Heights Mo., and Steve Tharp of Oates, Mo.; three daughters, Clara Rector of Coffman, Mo., Donna Wood- fin of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Carmen Jackson of Lesterville, Mo.; two aunts, Ruby Davis and Lucille Hager of East Prairie, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rexanna Albrecht Hunt who died in 2001.

The funeral services were held March 13 at the Pioneer Freewill Baptist Church near Ash Flat with burial in Turkey Pen Cemetery. Arrangements were by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
