Izard County deputies arrest burglary suspect

The Izard County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate the burglary of a Brockwell business.

Jason Clark Williams, 18, of Violet Hill was arrested Sept. 17 in connection with the burglary.

As of press time burglary and theft of property charges were pending, and Williams remained in the Izard County Detention Center.

Horseshoe Bend authorities are also investigating a potential burglary of a residence located along North Bend Drive Sept. 15.

The home owners told authorities various items including two pistols were missing, according to Horseshoe Bend Police Chief Fred Mitchell.

Sgt. Sonny Gerringer and Horseshoe Bend Officer Lloyd Broughton responded to the call.

Bryan K. Stubbs, 39, of West Plains, Mo., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime Sept. 14.

He was released from authorities after posting a $2,500 bond.

Carol D. Sanders, 46, of Melbourne was arrested Sept. 10 for possession of a controlled substance.

Sanders was released from the Izard County Jail after posting a $1,230 bond.

Carol Ann Bell, 51, of Guion was arrested and charged with being under the influence of drugs Sept. 11.

As of press time Bell remained in the Izard County Detention Center.

Ronnie L. Mooney, 51, of Calico Rock was arrested and charged with third degree assault and disorderly conduct.

As of press time Mooney remained incarcerated.
