Ruby Jewell Hall Stubble-field, 93, was born the daughter of Jeff Hall and Mattie Goins Hall on Aug. 10, 1914, in Elm Store, Ark., and died Sept. 14, 2007, in Thayer, Mo.

She was married March 19, 1936, in Pocahontas, Ark., to Tom J. Stubblefield who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1993.

She retired from Wagner Electric in St. Louis, Mo., after 25 years of service and she was employed by Old Brothers Department Store in Thayer for seven years. She was a member of the Thayer Church of Christ.

She is survived by: two sisters, Lucy Morgan of Myrtle, Mo., and Nettie Bennett of Thayer; several nieces; nephews; friends; and her special caregiver, Judy Bowers.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; eight sisters, Mary Risner, Martha Crawford, Oma Risner, Rutha Davis, Dora England, Amy Stubblefield, Amy England, and Cora Reynolds; eight brothers, Wesley Hall, Johnny Hall, Joe Hall, George Hall, Andy Hall, Albert Brewer, Alfred Brewer and Ratha Brewer.

Services were held Sept. 16 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Erman Croney and Richard Robinson officiating. Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
