Warren C. Roach, 86, of Sandtown, Ark., died Nov. 1, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Independence County to Edwin Walter and Eva (Carter) Roach.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II; retired from Northern Propane in Batesville; and a member of the Pool's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Sandtown.
Survivors include: his wife, Audrey Roach of the home; one son, Calvin Mac Roach of Sandtown; two sisters, Ida Bell Baxter and Oma Fulbright both of Batesville; two grandchildren, Michelle Shute of Olive Branch, Miss., and Eric Roach of Lincoln, Ill.; two step-grandchildren, Shayne Bagby and Danny Bagby both of Minier, Ill.; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; six brothers, Lamon Roach, Neil Roach, Jay Roach, Dean Roach, William "Pete"?Roach, and Brooks Roach; and six sisters, Robbie Roach, Gladys Pool, Vida Wilkins, Ruby Davis, Molly Baxter and Jane Nieman.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 4 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Bobby Shepherd and Rev. Jimmy Richardson officiating.
Burial followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens located north of Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Warren Baxter, Darrell Fulbright, Billy Fulbright, J.W. Roach, Jeff Holland and Jim Hastings.
The honorary pallbearer was Charles ?Hasting.
