Evaline Anita Wilcox, 72, of Alton was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Alton. She died April 7, 2006, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Bettis and husband Ed of Alton and Caroline Conner and husband Dale of Osceola, Mo.; two sons, Charles Wilcox and friend Tammy Rudd, and Daniel Bettis and friend Linda Agers all of Alton; three sisters, Patsy Hahn and husband Gary of Bland, Mo., Kathy Ridenhour and husband Gary of Belle, Mo., and Sally Sisco and husband DeWayne of West Plains; six brothers, Boyd Bates, Floyd Bates and wife Carol, Mac Bates and wife Tina, Danny Bates and wife Judy, Joe Bates and wife Kay, all of Alton and Richard Bates of West Plains; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Elsie Morrison-Bates; her husband, Charley Wilcox; three sons and one grandson.
The funeral services were held April 10 in the Clary Chapel with Bro. Charles Trantham officiating. Burial followed in the Huddleston Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton.
