Glenn Harold Seay, son of the late Gulley R. Seay and Stella Wayland Seay, was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Pineville, Ark.

He died June 21, 2005, at his home in Calico Rock, at the age of 82 years.

Seay served in the United States Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of seaman first class.

On Jan. 31, 1948, in Mountain Home, he was united in marriage to Norma Lee White. To this union, three children were born.

Glenn worked as a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of the Pineville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Norma Lee Seay of the home; one son and daughter-in-law -- Terry Ray Seay (Marcia) of Pineville, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law -- Connie Diane Seay Turner (Richard) of Jacksonville, Ark., and Marcia Kay Seay Willis (Kenny) of Batesville; four brothers -- Jack Say of Calico Rock, Dale Seay of Houston, Texas, Paul Wayne Seay of Guion, Ark.; Maurice Seay of Jordan, Ark.; two sisters -- Kathleen Burford of Senotobia, Miss., and Peggy Seay of Pineville; six grandchildren -- Lance Turner of North Little Rock, Sarah Smith (Ward) of Stuttgart, Jason Seay (Candice) of Pineville, Kasey Seay of Fayetteville, Ark., and Chelsea and Kendra Willis of Batesville; two great-grandchildren -- Jacob and Jeremiah Seay of Pineville; 20 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gulley and Stella Seay; three brothers-in-law -- Hayes White, Charles White and Paul Joe White; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlie and Elsie White; one sister-in-law, Ruth Seay; and two nephews -- Jim Seay and Jim White.

The funeral service was held June 24 at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wayne Wood and Garland Skidmore officiating.

Burial followed at Pineville Cemetery at Pineville, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock.

Pallbearers were Willis Hankins, Mark Seay, Mike Seay, Lance Turner, Jason Seay and Ward Smith.
