Chester Coy Story, 93, of Cave City, died Oct. 21, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born June 10, 1914, at Batesville, Ark., the son of Clifford and Nancy (Martin) Story.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired carpenter and a farmer.
He was a member of the Cave Creek Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Karen Wooldridge; one grandson, Alex Chandler; one step-grandson, Chad Wooldridge; one step-granddaughter, Gwen Meeks; four step-great-grandchildren, Lindsey Wooldridge, Rustin Wooldridge, Paden Day and Carson Day all of Cave City; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Aleatha (Jones)?Story; seven brothers, Alvin Story, Earl Story, Villard Story, Odell Story, J.B. Story, Earl Martin and Jerald Martin; one sister, Myrtle Dew; and one son-in-law, Danny Wooldridge.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Larry Morris officiating. Burial followed in the Cave Creek Cemetery located northwest of Batesville with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were George Carter, Gene Reynolds, Henry Reynolds, Glen Medley, Todd Smith, and Chad Wooldridge.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Wayne Carter, Leroy Clinton, Billy Snow, Fred Jones, Mylus Jones and Terry Chandler.
