Belvin Leonard Cooper, 85, of Liberty, Mo., died Sept. 26, 2007, at Liberty Hospital.?He was born Jan. 13, 1922, near Glencoe, Ark., the son of Benjamin H. and Lula Martin Cooper.
He attended school in Hardy, Ark.
He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II with the Pacific fleet.
He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Armilda "Amy" (Langston) Cooper; a daughter, Vivian Ann and husband Homer Stockwell; granddaughter, Sherilyn and husband, David Camerlinck; and great-granddaughters, Dallas June and Danielle Jewel Camer-linck, all of Liberty, Mo; stepchildren, David Stockwell of Georgia, Dianne Kennedy, Delores Doll, Dale Stockwell and Delisa Stockwell and their families of the Kansas City metro area; and siblings, Elsie Garner, Bates City, Mo., Bessie Lowe, Springfield, Mo., Flora Causbie, Hardy, Ark., and Donald Cooper, Jonesboro, Ark.; numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and friends.
Those preceding him in death include: his parents; and siblings, Ruby Bradley, Burnis Cooper, Dorothy Cooper, Otis Cooper, Fred Cooper, Kenneth Cooper and a newborn brother.
