Minnie Booth Pickens, 91, died July 17, 2005, at her niece's home in DeSoto, Mo. She was a member of Ruby Chapter 191 of Eastern Star in Hardy and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the last surviving child of the late John and Dora Booth of Williford, Ark.
She is survived by five step-children -- J.C. Pickens of Austin, Texas, Lou Ayola, Wichita, Kan,., Carlotta Blanchard, Norfork, Ark., Linda Huett, Henderson, Ark., and Sidney Pickens, Norfork, Ark.; four nieces -- Patricia Wall, DeSoto, Mo., Georgia Parkerson, Collinsville, Okla., Deborah Vawter, Mansfield, Mo., Betty Lynn McGowan, Judsonia, Ark.; three nephews -- Keith Vawter, Fred Wall and Skip Booth; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Pickens; a stepdaughter Jetha Black; three sisters -- Lina Roark, Ruth Hastings and Monnie Norris; two brothers, J.B. (Son) Booth and Kirby (Pete) Booth.
The funeral service was held July 21 at Heath Oak Hill Chapel in Hardy Ark., officiated by minister Gerald Bolin. Burial was in the Williford Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Dietrich-Motherhead Funeral Home at Desoto, Mo., and Heath Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy, Ark.
