Before the general elections this fall residents of Fulton and County will vote in municipal elections. The municipal elections are non-partisan and will be held Nov. 7. The filings ended Aug. 9.
Fulton County has two incumbents facing challengers and they are both in Mammoth Spring races.
All incumbent Fulton County mayors refiled for their positions. One mayor faces a challenger in the general election while two are unopposed.
Incumbent Mammoth Spring Mayor Jean Pace will face Darrel DuBois in the general election.
Viola Mayor Jackie Estes refiled and has no opponent in the fall.
Salem Mayor Gary Clayton was challenged in the Democratic primaries in May but is uncontested in the general election.
An alderman position is also contested in Mammoth Spring. Incumbent Jimmy Mills will face Danny Busch for Ward 1 Position 2.
Unopposed in Mammoth are Larry Burns for Ward 2 Position 2 and William Tibbits for Ward 2 Position 1.
All of Viola's races are uncontested. Running for alderman positions are Dennis Harber for Position 5, Calvin Crawford for Position 1, Robert Ray for Position 2, James Collins for Position 4 and Garry Williams for Position 3. Clerk/Recorder Mike Beaver also refiled and is running unopposed.
Only one filed in Salem. Pamela Pleasant-Bryant filed for recorder/treasurer.
