Frances Marie Whiteside, 74, died Aug. 12, 2006, at her home near Koshkonong, Mo. She was born April 11, 1932, in Bardwell, Texas, the daughter of John Junkin and Velma (Sills) Junkin.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Louis of the home near Koshkonong; one daughter, Bonni Stovall and husband, Floyd of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Richard Whiteside and wife Charla of Great Falls Mont., and Kyle Whiteside and wife Becky of Koshkonong; five grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Spoor and wife LaDon of Koshkonong and Joe Spoor and wife Helen of Alton; seven sisters, Wilma Spoor of Springfield, Mo., Alice Guilliams and husband Bob of West Plains, Shirley Burns and husband Darrell of Kenosha, Wis., Ruby Francis and husband Dewayne of Independence, Mo., Lillian Weiss of Kenosha, Ellen Frances and husband Frank of Independence, Mo., and Evelyn Wiggs and husband Clifford of Kansas City, Kan.; her mother-in-law, Anna Whiteside of Koshkonong; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Johnnie Murr; her step-father, Charley Spoor; and her father-in-law, Luther Whiteside.
The funeral services were held on Aug. 16 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with burial in Mint Springs Cemetery near Lanton, Mo., with Bro . Pat Casey officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Charles Cochran, Don Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Tom Spoor, Otis Butler and John Sutherland.
