Minnie Frances Parrott

Minnie Frances Parrott, 96, was born May 7, 1910, in Alton, Mo., the daughter of the late Coleman Hooper and Martha Ann Cousins Hooper.
She died Oct. 7, 2006, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer.
She was united in marriage Sept. 18, 1926, in Salem, Ark. to Willis Parrott who preceded her in death June 16, 1991.
She was saved at an early age and was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed crafts and spent many hours quilting and crocheting.
Survivors include three sons, Dorris Parrott and wife, Greatle, Truman Parrott and wife, Margie and Dewey Parrott and wife Dorothy, all of Alton; six grandchildren, Mike Parrott and wife Donna of Moorehead City, N.C., Tommy Parrott and wife, Linda of Alton, Tena Conrad and husband, Wesley of Alton, Sherri Hensley and husband, Craig of West Plains, Mo., Randy Parrott of Jonesboro, and LaRhonda Grafton and husband, Patrick of Birch Tree, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Sue Ann, Tressa, Chad, Nicholas, Amanda and Megan; one great-great-grandchild, Chaydan; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Eugene Parrott; four brothers, Edgar, Abe, Woodrow and Oscro Hooper; one sister, Janie Hooper; and one infant brother, Coleman Hooper.
Services were held Oct. 10 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with the Rev. Mike Parrott and the Rev. Craig Hensley officiating.
Burial followed at the Hickory Grove with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
