Julia Marilyn West, 74, of Salem, daughter of the late Samuel and Clesta (Clanin) D'Camp, was born on July 30, 1931, in Brooklyn, Ill. She died Feb. 20, 2006, in Salem.
She was united in marriage to James William West on Feb. 3, 1952, at Rushville, Ill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Donald West of Quincy, Ill.; three daughters, Barbara Grover and husband, Daniel, of Wis-consin, Peggy Scheuermann and husband, Ronald, of Salem, and Patricia Glover and husband, Randall, of Salem; two brothers, Tom D'Camp of Macomb, Ill., and Claude D'Camp and wife, Donna of Ashland, Ill.; five sisters, Shirley Bassham and husband, Willey, of Moko, Ark., Jeannette D'Camp of Brooklyn, Ill., Ethel Abbey and husband, Orville, of Jacksonville, Ill., Earlene Fox and husband, Gene, of Pittsburg, Mo., and Charlotte D'Camp of Quincy, Ill.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Jimmy West; a daughter, Rosemary West; a sister, Joyce D'Camp; and a brother, Samuel D'Camp.
The funeral services were held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Feb. 24 with Bro. Nathan Dixon officiating. Arrangements were by Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Delson Heasley, David Mott, Randy Robinson, Butch Blair, Kenny Pearson and Phil Barry.
Honorary pallbearers were Randall Glover and Madison Hurst.
