Gertrude Hazel Mittlestedter, 91, of Thayer, Mo., was born Oct. 26, 1913, in Fort Scott, Kan., daughter of Roy Kenney and Mary Perry Kenney. She died April 22, 2005, in Thayer.
She was united in marriage May 21, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. to Norman C. Gullic, who preceded her in death June 29, 1960.
She was married to Ernest Mittlestedter on Sept. 17, 1961, in Koshkonong, Mo. He preceded her in death March 30, 1981.
She was a business owner of a drug store and restaurant in Koshkonong for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Koshkonong and was an active member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Koshkonong.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two step-daughters -- Hazel Threlkeld of Bartlesville, Okla., and Willa Patrick of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Ethel Mae Ricahouse of Kansas City, Mo.; two nieces -- Gertrude Martin of Kansas City, and Jeanne Squires of West Plains; several great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
A graveside service and burial was held April 25 at Koshkonong Cemetery with Bill Bales officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home.
