Edgar Kenneth Cochran, 70, of Hardy, died April 24, 2005, in Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
Born in Hardy, Dec. 27, 1934, he worked in road construction and lived for 30 years in Hot Springs and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Dexter Cochran of Garfield, Ark.; a brother, Billy Cochran of Hot Springs, Ark.; four sisters -- Sara Jane Horton of Hardy. Pauline Stroud of Heart, Ark., Maggie Jones of Brookfield, Ark. and Francis Crammer of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dell and Ora Barbara Armstrong Cochran; a sister, Dorothy Ann Cochran; four brothers -- John Franklin Cochran, Clifford Cochran, William Robert Cochran and David Lee Cochran.
The funeral was April 27 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland, Ark.
Pallbearers were Bill Buchanan, Danny Fleming, Eugene Fleming, Otto Evans, Hayden Evans and Billy Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Junior Morgan, Jim Buchanan and Billy Orr.
