Loraine Johnston, 86, of Stevens Point, Wis. died April 13, 2005,
For over 53 years, she was the wife of Al Johnston. In 1971, Loraine and her husband, Al, bought a house in Cherokee Village and fell in love with the area. They returned to Cherokee Village. Al died in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Terrie (Ed) Flatoff, and a son, Blake, of Stevens Point, Wis., and a son, Dr. H. Mark Johnston (Pattie LaVesser), of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al, and friend, Jim Woodmansee.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She loved to golf, shop, play bridge and be with her friends in Cherokee Village. For health reasons she moved back to Stevens Point in 2001 and looked forward to her trips back to Cherokee Village.
Her last trip was in January of this year. The family would like to thank all her friends in Cherokee Village for their support over the years.
