ALTON -- An Alton man was transported to state prison in Bonne Terre on a felony parole violation last week.
Daniel G. Johnson, 33, was arrested at his residence at Route 2 Alton Feb. 2 by officers with the Oregon County Sheriff's Department. Besides the parole violation, Johnson was charged with felony resisting arrest.
Oregon County Sheriff Tim Ward said a possible meth lab was also discovered at the Johnson residence at the time of his arrest.
Ward said charges are pending regarding the illegal drug activity because his office is waiting for lab results from evidence taken from the suspected meth lab.
Johnson's original charge was felony drug possession in 1996.
The sheriff's department was assisted in the arrest by officers with the Alton Police Department and officers with the South Central Drug Task Force.
