Raymond Francis Wieland of Salem, son of the late Leroy Charles and Mary Agnes Latina Wieland, was born March 26, 1937, in Dundee, Ill.

He died Jan. 29, 2006, at Salem, at the age of 68.

Weiland was united in marriage to Dorothy Dorene Taber on May 28, 1959, at Aurora, Ill.

He spent his working years as an assembly line worker for Sherman Williams Paint Factory.

He was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wieland of Salem, Ark.; daughters, Connie Rae Garcia and husband Marcus of Brighton, Colo.; and Kellie Dorene Weiland-Bohlig and husband, Stony of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters, Mary Johnson and husband Ray of Wisconsin Dells, Wis., and Jerri Weiland of Wisconsin Dells; brother-in-law, Arnold Klotch of Elgin, Ill.; granddaughter, Lauren Bohlig of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Fran Klotch.

The funeral services were held at Salem First Baptist Church on Feb. 1 with Bro. John Hodges officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

Memorials are preferred to the Salem First Baptist Church Building Fund.
