Rev. Shelby Woodrow Woods, 93, of Conway, died Jan. 4, 2006, at Conway Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 26, 1912, at Byron, Ark., the son of the late Dr. Owen Shelby and Cornelia Foust Woods.
He attended Arkansas College and Perkins School of Theology. He was a United Methodist Minister for 67 years in the North Arkansas Conference, serving charges at Altus, Moorefield, Weldon, Kibler, Alpena, Elm Springs, Decatur, Plainview, Marshall, Huntsville, Quitman, Shiloh-Paragould, Lincoln, Green Forest, Asbury-Batesville and Oppelo, retiring in 1979 in Conway. Following retirement he served Oakland and Centerville and taught the Pathfinders Sunday School Class at Wesley United Meth-odist Church in Conway.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lora Teeter Woods; three childrne, Katala and Bob Sisco of Clinton, Don and Belinda Woods of Maumelle, and Sandra Woods of Conway; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchilden.
The funeral was held Jan. 7 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Joel Cooper and Rev. Clayton Bulice officiating. Burial followed at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
