Donald Ray Casey, 63, of Goose Creek, S.C., owner of Green Gallery Florist, died Dec. 24, 2005, at a South Carolina hospital.

He was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Ash Flat, Ark., the son of Roosevelt and Pearl Mears Casey.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.

Casey was a member of the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Mt. Pleasant.

He is survived by his wife, Tatyana Casey of Goose Creek; one son, Robert Casey of Snohomish, Wash.; two daughters, Pamela Meekins of South Mills, N.C. and Julie Day of Topeka, Kan.; two sisters, Wanda Lee Girtman and Margaret West, both of Batesville; two brothers, J.R. Casey of Oklahoma City and Henry C. Casey of Meriden, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Mack Girtman; and one nephew.

The funeral service was held Dec. 27 in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Interment followed at Woodlands Cemetery in Canadys, S.C.

Arrangements were under the direction of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
