Rev. Allen Snearly, 82, of Highland died Jan. 28, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born May 17, 1923, at Deer, Ark., the son of the late Alvin Olen and Alpha Nichols Snearly.
He was united in marriage on July 12, 1940, to Claudine Brown. He was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God.
Survivors include his wife, Claudine Snearly of the home; three sons, Bobby Joe Snearly of Jonesboro, Billy Wayne Snearly and Rickey Carl Snearly, both of Cherokee Village; one daughter, Wanda Jean Langston of Cherokee Village; one brother, Wayne Snearly of Wynne; one sister, Edith Brown of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dennis Snearly, Vernon, Snearly and Fred Snearly; two sisters, Doris Richie and Thelma Williams; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Highland with Rev. Larry Moore, Rev. Dale Hughart and Rev. Tim Turner officiating.
Burial followed in the Highland Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Tony Snearly, Sam Snearly, Gabriel Snearly, Nicholas Snearly, Nathaniel Snearly, Nathan Hubbard and Michael Sullivan.
