Jim Standley, 64, of Shell Knob, Mo., died on Feb. 22, 2008, at his home in Shell Knob.
Standley, son of Joseph and Edith (Winn) Standley, was born on Nov. 9, 1943, in Koshkonong, Mo.
He was the owner of Standley Auction and Appraisal Services.
He married Kay Allen on May 17, 1963 in Wichita, Kan. Jim was the past Worshipful Master of the Central Crossing 674 AFandAM.
He is survived by: his wife; two sons, Brian Standley, and his wife, Staci, of Shell Knob, and Cory Standley, and his wife, Stephanie, of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Ted Standley, of Koshkonong; five sisters, Dorothy Hutchinson, of Thayer, Mo., Muriel Elser, and her husband, Frank, of Cherokee Village, Ark., Ruth Martin, and her husband, Earl E., of Willow Springs, Ill., Sarah Standley, of Peoria, Ill., and Brenda Janes, Peoria, Ill.; two aunts, Elsie Evans and Eva Harper, both of Thayer; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Standley.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Shell Knob, with Pastors Reese Morrow and Louie P. Celaya officiating. Masonic Services will be conducted by Central Crossing 674 AFandAM.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home.
