Amy Marie (Howard) Wallis, 94, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Smithville, died Feb. 21, 2008, at a Little Rock nursing home. She was born Sept. 26, 1913, at Emery, Ark., the daughter of the late Holly and Aurora (Christenberry)?Howard.
She had worked as a sales clerk for the Veterans Hospital in?Little Rock and was of the Nazarene faith.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Wanda Wallis of Cabot and Jackie and Brenda Wallis of Little Rock; one grandson, Michael Wallis of Cabot; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Zela Mae Howard of Cave City, Sanford and Sue Howard of Varina, N.C., and Joe and Marion Howard of Austin, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Emily Sue and Hugh Mauldin of Houston, Texas; a sister-in-law, Velma Howard of Cave City; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Clint Wallis; two sisters, Allie Jean Flickner and Jane Guthrie; and one brother, Taylor Horace Howard.
Funeral services were held Feb. 24 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Pastor Chuck Seay officiating.
Burial followed in the Sullivan Cemetery located at Calamine with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Charles Wallis, Ray Wallis, Dean Wallis, Harvey Howard, Dwight Howard and Terry Cruce.
