Henry Rodney Park Jr., 94, died Feb,. 17, 2006, at his residence in Horseshoe Bend, Ark.
He was born in East St. Louis, Ill., the son of Henry Rodney and Amelia Margaret Seufert Park Sr.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
He worked as a salesman in the small engine industry before retiring to Horseshoe Bend. He was an active member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. He belonged to Shriners and Mason Lodge and the Illinois Club.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Spicer Park; one son and wife, Rodney Howes and Amy Park, of Schaumburg, Ill.; and daughter Jana Carole Hodges of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; four stepsons Melvin E. Yow Jr. of Fresno, Calif., Robert (Bob) A. Yow of Hugo, Okla., Thomas (Tom) L. Yow of Florida, and Dr. Ronald (Ron) Yow of Glencoe,; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; 17 stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Agnes Park.
Memorial services was held Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m. in Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Ashcraft officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church General Fund.
