Juanita Sanusky, 80, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., formerly of the Brunswick area of Gary, Ind. died Oct. 25, 2007, in Batesville, Ark., at the White River Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1927, the daughter of Gumero Flores and Manuela Morin in Gary, Ind.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Horseshoe Bend, was retired from Inland Steel Company, a member of the USW 1010 and was a member of the Christian Women's Group in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include: her husband Frank Sanusky of Horseshoe Bend; two sons, Steven Gallegos of Auburn Hills, Mich., and Richard (Ula) Gallegos of Lowell, Ind.; four daughters, Margaret and (late Joseph) Vondorkovich of Kouts Ind., Anita (David)?Stearns of Schererville, Ind., Rachel Bridges of Kouts, Ind., and Lisa (Roy) Holcomb of Denver, Col; one sister, Rose (late Amado) Manqual of Gary, Ind.; four brothers, Peter (Rosemary)?Leon of Porter, Ind., Simon (Gloria) Leon of Evansville, Ind., Edward (Gladys)?Leon of Portage, Ind., and Juan (Tomiko) Flores of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Ann (late Paul) Jancosek of Munster, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Joseph Vondorkovich.
Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at the Redina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Merrillville, Ind., with Rev. Jerry Kandel officiating.
Burial followed in the Calumet Park Cemetery with local arrangements under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
