Osie Marie Duke, 93, of Sidney, Ark., died Dec. 6, 2005, at Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney.
She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Stuttgart, Ark., the daughter of John Bailey and Della Murphy Bailey.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Evening Shade First Baptist Church.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning food, cooking and quilting.
Survivors include five sons, W.O. Duke of Batesville, Cleo Duke of Cave City, Harley Duke of Batesville, Jack Duke and Boyce Duke both of Sidney; four daughters, Elsie Harrington of Ward, Bonnie Maxwell of Evening Shade, Patsy Malone of Cave City, and Kathleen Koob of Sidney; 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otto Duke; and a son, Coy Duke.
The funeral service was held Dec. 9 at Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the Rev. Daniel Duke officiating. Burial followed in Williams Cemetery, west of Evening Shade with arrangements under the direction of the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Steve Duke, Kenny Malone, Billy Headstream, Dwayne Headstream, Tony Williams, Burton Duke and Brian Landers.
