Program receives teddy bears

Thursday, September 15, 2005

The Northcentral Arkansas Development Council Head Start programs were the recipients of 326 handmade teddy bears recently. The bears will be used by the children in the Head Start programs for rest time buddies and were made by the Fulton County Extension Homemakers Club members.

"The staff and children thank all the club members for their time, efforts and considerations in making these little bears for the children to use," said a Head Start spokesman.

The Head Start Centers in Sharp, Fulton, Independence, Izard and Stone counties all received the teddy bears.
