Wanda Mae Trexler, 62, of Thayer, Mo., was born Oct. 12, 1942, in Pearl City, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Jim Byrd Singletary and Katherine Patricia Bajadali Singletary. She died Sept. 2, 2005, in Thayer.
She was united in marriage to Russell D. Trexler on Dec. 20, 1969 in Santa Anna, Calif.
She was an accomplished poet and worked in real estate sales in California for several years.
She enjoyed country wester music and square dancing. She attended New Life Worship Center in Thayer.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, Cody, Tony and James Dean. She will be sorely missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Russell of the home in Thayer; one daughter, Robin Ary-Barton; three grandchildren, Cody, Tony and James Dean Ary; one sister, Kathleen Craig all of Thayer; one niece, Kimberly Alvarez of Victorville, Calif.; three nephews -- Jameson Witt of Thayer and Brandon and Michael Witt of Las Vegas, Nev.; two great-nieces, MaKayla and Haley Alvarez of Victorville; two great-nephews -- Cody Ryan Alvarez of Victorville and Kyle Witt of Thayer; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jimmie Singletary.
The funeral service was held Sept. 6 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bro. Chris Reeves officiating.
Burial followed the service in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
