Henry R. Zingen, 73, of Lemont, Ill. died Aug. 7, 2005 Graveside services were held Aug. 12 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, Ill.
Zingen was born March 29, 1932, in Trier, Germany, to Alois and Magdalena (Feil) Zingen. In 1951 he came to the United States and became a citizen in 1959. He was a chef for many years in the Chicago area.
Henry and his wife Ruby retired and lived in Presque Isle, Wis., and later Cherokee Village. He was a member of the Lions Club. Henry was an avid fisherman, a Green Bay Packers an Chicago Cubs fan. He cherished his trips to Germany to see his family and friends.
Henry is survived by three loving sons, Henry W. (Karin) Zingen, Frank R. (Janet) Zingen, Michael J. (Janet) Zingen; seven grandchildren, Monica (Bryan) Kirk, Tracy (Paul) Michelich, Michelle Blazek, Bryan, Troy, Frank, and Myranda Zingen; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Pacheco, K. D. and Hevyn Blazek, Jacob and Madelyn Michelich, Skyler and Tyler Cook; a devoted stepson, Randy (Debbie) Kotalik and their daughter, Tiffany; five stepchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a beloved sister, Fine Roth; a godchild, Gobi Bernard; and lifelong friends, Heinz and Elfriede Orth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby; a brother-in-law, Klaus Roth; and a nephew, Klaus Roth.
