Wilma Louise Wymer was born April 26, 1922, in Cedar City, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer Edward Conklin and Pearl Osborn Conklin. She died Sept. 13, 2007, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 85.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Spellman. In later years she was united in marriage to Norton William Wymer who preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1979.
She was a homemaker, a business partner and former employee of Olan Mills Photography.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Thayer where she sang in the Church Choir. She was also a member of Oak Grove Extension Club in Koshkonong, Mo.
She was the mother of two children, Rodney Spellman and Bonnie Wymer Andrews.
Wilma is survived by: two granddaughters, Lisa Boysel and Tammie Knerr, both of Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Michael Williams, Jason Williams, Stephanie Boysel and Willie Boysel; two brothers, Lewis R. Conklin of Iowa and Vernon E. Conklin of Arizona; one sister, JoAnn Conklin Thomas of Arizona; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Bonnie Wymer Andrews; three brothers Lester E. Conklin, Roy L. Conklin and William D. Conklin; and one sister, Bertha M. Brayton.
Funeral services were held Sept. 17 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with David Scott officiating. Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
