Norma Pauline Lancaster was born July 28, 1923, in Koshkonong, Mo., the daughter of John F. Jones and Mary M. Jewell Jones, and died Sept. 15, 2007, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 84.
She was united in marriage Jan. 8, 1942, at Koshkonong, Mo. to Curtis Lancaster who preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1975.
Besides being a homemaker, Norma was a farmer, working with her husband on the family farm.
She is survived by: one son, Jerry Lancaster and wife, Joan of Koshkonong; one daughter, Beverly Brazeal and husband, Melvin of Koshkonong; five grandchildren, Jennifer Litteken, Jeff Lancaster, Jack Lancaster, Crystal Young, Christina Brazeal and Rebecca Lancaster; four great-grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Cecelia and Olivia; two sisters, Sallie Brower and Iva Day; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, E.C. Lancaster; five sisters, Ethel Anderson, Bessie Waldridge, Phyllis Hunter, Lenora Swenson and Grace Cook; and three brothers, Virgel Jones, Earl Jones and Calvin Jones.
Graveside services were held Sept. 18 at the Wayside Cemetery near Koshkonong, with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial followed in the Wayside Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
