Ray R. Ruppel, 95, of Charlotte, Ark., died Nov. 26, 2005, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born June 1, 1910, at Ware, Mo. to William and Jessie Taylor Ruppel.
He was a retired brick mason and served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include five daughters, Lila Flemming of St. Louis, Mo., Glenda Rose of Charlotte, Aleta Ruppel of Subiaco, Ramona Rose of Charlotte and Christina Rundell of Charleston; one step-son Grover Johnson of McGirk, Mo.; one sister, Julia Young of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Ruppel; a step-daughter, Oma Johnson; three brothers, Jon Ruppel, Bud Ruppel and Bill Ruppel; two sisters, Lola Stotler and Flora Kunkel.
Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with James and Kathy Dameron officiating.
Burial followed in the Maple Springs Cemetery located at Rosie with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
Pallbearers were Ken Rose, Kevin Rose, Micah Rundell, James Rundell, Nathan Ruppel and Ronald Ward.
Honorary pallbearers were Bennie Rose and Keith Rose.
