Couch FFA visit Washington, D.C.

Thursday, October 13, 2005

Members of the Couch FFA Chapter attended the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., this summer. Couch FFA officers Caitlyn Melton, Kandy York, LaTasha Cote and Douglas Melton participated in workshops on communication, leadership and building relationships and toured some of the historic sites in Washington.

The members visited Arlington National Cemetery, toured the Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Vietnam Veterans and World War II Memorials and visited the Smithsonian museums. A highlight of the week was a visit with Congresswoman JoAnn Emerson and a tour of the Capitol. They were accompanied on the trip by advisor Pam Proffitt-Rowland, who attended the Washington Leadership Program Advisors' Conference. The members had the experience of a lifetime on their trip and made friends from all over the United States.

The Couch FFA alumni for helped make their trip possible.
