A Henderson man was injured after he wrecked his motorcycle Oct. 5.

Danny Schumaker, 49, was driving east on Highway 62/412 approximately three miles east of Salem when he lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, said Lt. Ronnie Stewart with the Arkansas State Police.

Schumaker crashed the motorcycle into the eastbound ditch.

"The back tire probably blew out, causing the wreck, but we're not sure at this point," Stewart said.

The motorcycle slid 132 feet before coming to a stop in the ditch.

Schumaker was transported from the scene by ambulance to the Fulton County Hospital.

Fulton County Hospital Administrator Frank Wise said Schumaker was treated and released.

"I think he was released the same day as he came in," Wise said.

It was not known as of press time if Schumaker was wearing a helmet.

Stewart said weather conditions were clear at the time of the wreck.
