A Salem man was charged Oct. 6 with two felony drug counts after deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff's Department questioned him at his home.
Eric D. Miller, 23, has been charged with possession of a schedule IV narcotic, Alprazolam; and possession of a schedule IV narcotic, Darvocet.
Deputy Jason Martin with the Fulton County Sheriff's Department said he went to Miller's apartment to arrest him over a hot check warrant Miller had in Baxter County.
During a search after the arrest, Martin said he found 28 Darvocet pills and 11 Alprazolam pills inside Miller's pockets.
According to the arrest affidavit, Miller told Martin the pills were not his and he was holding them for someone else.
Miller posted a $2,500 bond Oct. 6 and was released. He is slated to appear in Fulton County Court Nov. 7 for the felony counts.
Miller's court date for the hot check counts had not been set in Baxter County as of press time.
