Lelia Frances Pearl Mosey, of Salem, Ark., was born June 1, 1926, in Seminole County, Okla., daughter of the late Maude Short and Henry A. Pearl. She died Nov. 15, 2005.
She was married to the late Corwin H. Mosey in Mammoth Spring Jan. 27, 1945. Two daughters were born to this union and are survivors: Judith Ann Thompson and Jeanette Gail Mosey. Other survivors include her sons-in-law, Rod Thompson and Donald Proud; her granddaughter, Kimberly Miller and husband, Nate; great-grandsons, Joah and Micah; one brother, E.C. Manry and one sister, Vivian Ruth Nitsch; and several nieces and nephews.
She has been a member of the Salem United Methodist Church since 1952. She served as President of the UMW for several years and was secretary to the administrative board for 12 years (1988 - 2000) she retired from the Salem School District after serving as bookkeeper for 17 years. She was a member of the AEA and NRTA as well as the American Contract Bridge League.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
The funeral service was held Nov. 19, at the Salem United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
