Woodrow Lawrence Taylor, owner and operator of Many Islands Camp Ground and Canoe Rental, died Nov. 6, 2005, at his home in Mammoth Spring age the age of 89 years. He was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Many Islands the son of Reese A. and Virginia Lillie Barr Taylor.

He was married in Mammoth Spring to Juanita Cherry on Nov. 27, 1941.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita of the home in Mammoth Spring; one son, Robert G. Taylor and wife, Paula, of Many Islands; two daughters, Regina Patton and husband, Larry of Bono, Ark., and Wanda L. Wood and husband, Bobby, of Many Islands; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Taylor of Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren, Debbie and Keith Taylor of Yakima, Wash., Shelly Myers of Jonesboro, Pamela Widick of Bono, Shannon Wood of Many Islands, and Natalie Hamrick of Waco, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth L. Taylor; two brothers, Lonnie and Trez Taylor; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Ragsdale and Nova Ellis.

Graveside services were held Nov. 8 at Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring and burial followed with Bro. Mike Stone officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.

Pallbearers were Mike Underwood, Larry Joe Patton, Bobby Wood and Shannon Wood.
