Mae June Poulette Jones Daily, was born May 17, 1931, in Kirwin, Kan., the daughter of the late Herbert Otto Gaines and Anna Marie Stroup Gaines. She died Feb, 7, 2008, in Thayer, Mo., at the age of 76.

She was united in marriage on March 29, 1949, at Thayer, Mo., to Leon Ernest Poulette, who preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1988. She was united in marriage Oct. 17, 1988 at Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Herbert Jones, who preceded her in death May 18, 2000. She was united in marriage on Dec. 15, 2000 at Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Robert Daily.

She was of the Church of God faith and a member of the First Baptist Church in Thayer.

She was a founding member of the Mammoth Spring Square Dance Club.

She is survived by: her husband, Robert Daily of the home in Thayer, Mo.; four children, Connie Roberts and husband, Ronnie of West Plains, Mo., Herbert Poulette and wife, Annette of Thayer, Mo., Brenda Smith and husband,?Kenneth of Thayer, and Curtis Poulette and wife, Barbara of Thayer; five step-sons, Gary "Snook"?Jones of Thayer, Randy Jones of Thayer, Douglas Shelton of Jackson, Mo., Larry Shelton of Memphis, Tenn., and Robert "Louie" Daily of Germantown, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren: Robert Roberts,?Jr., and wife, Ruby, Aaron Roberts and fiancee, Jackie Duncan, Renee Douglas and husband,?Jimmy, Ronda Gee, Bevan Poulette and wife, Crystal, Garrett Poulette and wife, Kim, Delica Johnson and husband, Dane, Kipp Wisler, Darian Wisler, Celena Russell and husband,?Nathan, Holli Faigle, Coretta Boyce and friend, Art Bentley and Jacob Poulette and wife, Katie; several step-grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha East of Pshrump, Nev., Lois Adkins of Riverton, Iowa, and Myrtle Sorrell of Thayer, Mo.; four brothers, Herbert Gaines Jr. of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Clayton Gaines of Thayer, Ray Gaines of Provo, Utah and Victor Gaines of Stanton, Kan.; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leon Poulette; her second husband, Herbert Jones; one grandson, Virgil Otto Poulette; one great-grandson, Devan Leon Poulette; three brothers, Charles Gaines, Kenneth Gaines and Gordon Gaines; and one sister, Leota DuBois.

Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Rev. Gerald Bounds officiating. Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
