Bobby Arnold Reef, died March 17, 2006, at his home in Mt. Vernon, Ill., at the age of 77.
He was born July 10, 1928, in Thayer, Mo., the son of Claremont and Flora Emma Guy Reef.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed by Frisco Railroad, working as a car man for several years. He was later employed by the Missouri Highway Department.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia of the home in Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Kimberly Rogers and husband, Brian, of Mt. Vernon; one son, Robert Michael Reef and wife, Esther of Chula Vista, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Hector Rodriguez, Jessica Rodriguez, Jonathan Rodriguez, BriAnna Reef, Brandon Tompkins, Kristen Thompkins and Chase Rogers; two sisters, Peggy Masters of Blue Springs, Mo., and Jo Ann Chadwick of Windsor, Mo. He is also survived by his extended family, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Clara Lee McLelland.
Funeral services were held March 20 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Thayer Cemetery. Erman Croney officiated. Arrange-ments were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Justin Grimes, Doyle Wood, Stacy Hambelton, Jack Romine, Earl Rogers and Larry Grimes. Honorary pallbearers were Francis Brenner, Jim Ramsey and Art Oakes.
