Lorene Parvin, age 90, of Cave City, formerly of Evening Shade, died April 28, 2007, at the Cave City Nursing Home. She was born July 4, 1916, at Viola, Ark., daughter of James and Lillian (Franks) Ellis.
She was retired from Banquet Foods in Batesville, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one son, Thurman Parvin of Haysville, Kan.; two daughters, Dorothy Dawson of Edmond, Okla., Deanna Jones of Poughkeepsie; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Franklin Arthur Parvin; five brothers, Gilbert Ellis, Thurman Ellis, Paul Ellis, Gene Ellis and Randall Ellis; three sisters, Annis Watts, Neva Ellis and Dorothy Moser; and one granddaughter ?Nancy (Parvin) Cardwell.
Funeral services were held May 1 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel at Cave City with Keith Gregson officiating. Burial followed in the Sharp Cemetery at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tim Dawson, Jeremy Parvin, Allen Jones, Randy Jones, Stacy Jones and Tracy Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Dawson, Junie Smith and Thomas Qualls.
